KraussMaffei launches modular 3D printing solution

Date:2026-03-13     Source:KraussMaffei

KraussMaffei recently launched powerPrint Flex, a modular 3D printing solution.?At its core is a robotic manufacturing module that integrates KraussMaffei’s?long-proven extrusion technology with a modular design. The system can be flexibly configured to meet specific customer needs, marking a new era in the flexible production of large-scale components.

powerPrint Flex can directly produce large, complex components from materials such as carbon fiber-reinforced polycarbonate, including parts like sports car rear diffusers. By eliminating the constraints of traditional molds, design modifications can be implemented immediately, significantly shortening product development cycles and reducing production costs.

At the heart of the system is the printCore 35-35 extruder, independently developed by KraussMaffei. It is capable of meeting the processing requirements of demanding materials such as fiber-reinforced thermoplastics and high-performance polymers. The system integrates with Siemens’ Sinumerik One to provide precise motion control of the Comau N-170 six-axis industrial robot, allowing seamless incorporation into existing production environments. In addition, users can tailor complete production setups to specific manufacturing needs by incorporating additional functions such as rotary tables?or milling centers.
